Personal Message:

Hi, everyone, thanks for visiting my blog!

I created My Own Ad School as my own way of learning about the advertising industry. But I also created this blog for those looking for an alternative to portfolio schools. I am in no way saying that you don’t need to go to an ad school - but I do believe that education is what you make of it. Everyone has their own way of learning, and with this blog, I’d like to share what I’ve been learning.

From what I’ve gathered, breaking in this industry will be a challenge and it’s going to take a lot out of you if you really want to get somewhere in the industry. These harsh truths haven’t pushed me away - in fact, I am more determined to break in. I still have a year left of my undergrad to complete (yes, I’ve decided to finish my degree - I might as well finish what I’ve started, right?) but I know that I do want to spend this last year continuing to learn about the industry. And after graduation? I’ll worry about that when it comes closer.

- Bianca
